Hi guys,

I am a student who is new to GIS. As part of a project, I need to superimpose a 100m x 100m grid onto an area in London in ARCGIS 9.3 and print out the final map to scale with coordinates labels at the sides. To begin, I guess I need a "basemap" of London ? Can I know where I can get one online ? Should I use Google maps ? Please advise.

Thank you very much !

Regards,
Adrian

You can use OpenStreetmap instead of Google Maps, this PDF explains how.

If you're studying in the UK, then you should have acccess to UK spatial data under Digimap.
