I can't find any mention of this on Lizardtech's website. Does anyone know where to get a MrSID plugin for Photoshop 7? We find a lot of orthophotos in MrSID format.

I was looking for the same thing a couple of weeks ago with no such luck. I've still got a couple of computers to check; I'm pretty sure one of them has it. If/when I find I can forward to you off list.

Do you need to keep them as a sid file? If you don't mind converting to some other format, then you have a few options.
If you don't need to maintain georeferencing, then Irfanview has a plugin that allows you to open sid files. you could then save them as tiff's or whatever you prefer.
Irfanview isn't very efficient with larger files though, so GDAL maybe the better option. Using GDAL will also allow you to maintain the georeferencing info. GDAL isn't the easiest to use, so if you want to go that route, I can get you pointed in the right direction.

I think I have the plug-in for Macintosh, but if my memory serves me right it only works with Photoshop 5. I forgot why that may be.
The plug-in is called "MrSID_FormatPPC.8bi"
I'll e-mail it to you...

According to this press release LizardTech sold off it's plugins to onOne Software
This came after Celartem (an interesting company from asia) purchased both Extensis and Lizardtech. I am not too sure where Celartem is going but it's a worthwhile company to watch and speculate on...

Graphic Converter still has a MrSID plug-in available, so that's of some help.
By coincidence, I got an email from OnOne this morning mentioning their purchase of LizardTech's various products (I'm an Extensis registered user) but nothing on OnOne's website ever mentions MrSID.

LizardTech sez:
"MrSID Photoshop Edition 1.1 is a retired product and is no longer supported. We have no plans work on a new one, and I do not have support information for the plug-in you have. I apologize for the inconvenience."
I wish Adobe would build this straight into Photoshop.

Its an old thread but just in case somebody else comes across a similar issue, they could use Avenza's Geographic Imager Photoshop plugin to open MrSID, ECW and a whole bunch of other GIS formats in Adobe Photoshop.
