Is there a trick to importing a KML from Google Earth that keeps the point labels? I'm importing a selection of biblical place names but all I get in MAPub is the point, no attribute info to label on.

In the MAP Attributes palette, right click (Windows) or Ctrl click (Mac) at the top of the attributes palette. Select "Show/Hide Columns" > "Show All".
You'll now see fields like #Name and KmlDescription which will have the content from the kml file.

We have made a lot of enhancement for the KML/KMZ importer with MAPublisher 8.4.

Good grief. Its funny how what would be my first instinct when working in Arc doesn't even occur to me in MAPublisher sometimes. Thanks!
