Hi,
I am trying to extract raster values from WorldClim (30 arc-seconds resolution) to a 1 x1 degree cell grid.
The data I am trying to extract is from the whole world using zonal tool from the spatial analyst tools but at some point ArcGis suddenly stops to answer.... I don't know if it is continuing to extract the data or if it really has stopped. How can I manage to extract this data down to a grid?
I would really appreciate some help here...

Try to experiment first with a smaller area, rather than the whole world. You could check in task manager if the process is still running, or using ProcMon - and also see if the disk is working heavily. It probably is working, but the user interface locked up!
You could also divide the world in e.g. 4 or 8 tiles, and then merge them afterwards.
