I really liked the simplicity of the original version. (And I love the traffic lights.)

I like it (the original), and wouldn't change a thing existing. I would simply add a vertical line separating the two modes of transport (in a color that would compliment existing map: I would choose a very subtle 1 pt line at 80% black)...that's it!

The map is coming along nicely. Consider changing the destination symbol to either a red dot for "Red Geographics" or use a small version of your business logo as the destination waypoint. If you do the latter, consider adding your logo/business name to the map title as this will communicate the illustrate the relationship between that symbol and your business.
