I have an Access table that contains photos that are embedded in "Image bitmap" quotes in the photo column (and I could access a photo just by clicking on any of these); when I export that to ArcGIS (either directly or through a .dbf file), either ArcGIS closes automatically or the photo column is gone or made irrelevant. How can I export this table and still keep the photos clickable?

You want the photos to be clickable in ArcGIS? Why do you export, by the way - you should be able to access MS Access tables directly from ArcGIS - even though I am not sure it supports the photos in this way...
