Hallo dear cartographers,

this is my first post, nice to meet you :)

My question is: which is the best GIS Magazine you know?
I'm interested in booth online and paper magazines which talk about open source and proprietary software, new technologies and so on.
Languages: English, German, Italian, French

thanks!

There are magazines?

I guess, if you wanted to use their name as an indicator, there's Directions (e)Magazine.

Geoworld/GeoPlace is alright. If you are an esri user you can get the free Arc-Centric ArcNews and ArcUser. ArcUser has some interesting articles, ArcNews is sometimes more of an advertisement. Typically they are trade magazines. Most of the articles in something like ArcUser are submitted by the community. So don't expect the New Yorker :).

Cheers,
David

There's Geo-Informatics as well. Mind you, there's very little stuff about cartography in most of these magazines, apart maybe from reports from ICA meetings.
