Sanborn is in search of a highly skilled Cartographer with experience creating complex, high-quality map products. Successful candidates will have expertise in GIS and Adobe graphics software. This is an on-site contract position supporting the USDA Forest Service/BLM office in Portland, Oregon.

Required Skills

1) Expertise in ArcGIS, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

2) Thorough knowledge of cartographic principles. Highly skilled in cartographic design. Practical knowledge of lithography and large-format printing. Experience in performing press checks helpful.


Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Cartography, Geography, or Earth Sciences


Experience Requirements
8+ years of intensive and progressive experience in digital cartographic and GIS technology and map making preferred.
