Since you brought up the army training map... what about the San Francisco Bay tidal model in Sausalito, CA? I've only seen it on tv and it appeared to be in a *huge* hangar-type structure.

We have a winner!!
The Sausalito Map is definitely bigger than all the others. And from what I can tell, it is a true map by my definition.
The San Francisco Bay Model is 320 x 400 = 128,000 sq ft (or almost 3 acres.)
