I am looking for a shapefile(s) for the 24K USGS Springs. I need one with all springs in Colorado, not just named ones. I've checked several county GIS sites and the National Map Seamless Server with no luck. Any help would be great.

Here is the National Hydrography Dataset viewer website:
http://nhdgeo.usgs.gov/viewer.htm
If memory serves, there was spring data in there.

Also you could download the DLGs of the quad maps, but then you would have to filter through them and find the springs data.

Hope that helps,
David

I have the National Hydrologic Data set for the US. I could extract the Colorado springs for you, if you are not able to get these using the Viewer inteface.

I pulled out all points coded as 'Spring' from the NHD, high detail.

Download file and change extension from jpg to zip. Then extract contents (shapefile format).

I hope that I got all of Colorado as I did not have a 1:24000 boundary layer. I used the bounding box of
LAT_LON_BOUNDS=-109.07, 41.01, -102.03, 36.98. There maybe a few just over the line.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have problems downloading or extracting.

Thank you all so much! I'm out of town but will try these as soon as I get back. I'll let you know if I have any issues.
