How would I go about generating 50 or so evenly distributed points inside an irregular shaped polygon? ArcGIS here. Pretty stumped, thanks!

Like a dot-density map (ie. randomly placed points) or points regularly aligned on a grid like Bertin's method ?

Not dot density random placement, as that would leave gaps within the polygon. I need them to be spaced out evenly, would a grid method do that even in an irregular shaped polygon?

use Create Fishnet tool:

ArcToolbox > Data Management Tools > Feature Class > Create Fishnet

to create regular grid of labels

then clip with polygon
