I am very much a beginner in all this so please excuse me if there is a well-known answer to this question. I am using ArcView 9.3. I am drawing various polygons and would like to shade them with black and white shades to depict various material types such a brick, concrete, metal ...etc. Ideally I would like these symbols to conform with standard shadings for material types.
ESRI provides lost of symbology files to choose from but few in black and white and these are mostly geological based. Is there a source for other symbolgy files particularly in the ESRI style set file format that I can use? The reason I want them in black and white is to make them easier to photocopy. Thanks IainS |

My best guess is that you will have to set up your own classes and style them using the way you want them.
Are there any standard gray values used for depicting materials? C -------------------- Crischan Wygoda
