As usual, Avenza will have a booth at the 2010 ESRI International Users Conference next week in San Diego.
In addition to the usual MAPublisher and Geographic Imager showings, demos and Q & A sessions, the following new and very exciting items will be unveiled.
Geospatial PDF App for iOS
Come and see our new PDF Maps app for the iPhone and iPad. Any geospatial pdf document, whether it be a drawn map, raster image or the output from a GIS or cartographic session can be read spatially on an i-device. In combination with the native GPS and location functionality of these devices you can show your current position, plot points, tag points, show the location of any point and much more. Now, geospatial PDF is a true viable option for publishers who wish to easily replace their printed map deliveries with electronic versions for the masses (or enterprises) that anyone can read.
Geospatial PDF Export from Photoshop
Following from the earlier addition of geospatial PDF export functionality to Adobe Illustrator (through MAPublisher) we are now adding geospatial PDF export to Adobe Photoshop (through Geographic Imager). Now any spatial image (geotiff, SID etc.) and scan can be quickly and easily turned into a geospatial PDF that can be universally read and used without any special geo-image software.
Amazing DEM Colourization and Shading in Photoshop
This is full DEM terrain shading functionality within Adobe Photoshop complete with elevation gradient sliders, light source position and intensity and much more. Now DEMS can be completely colourized, shaded and rendered within Adobe Photoshop using Photoshop's vast colour palettes and gradients.
See a sneak preview on the Avenza YouTube channel here:
Import Map Data VIA WFS and WMS
Coming with MAPublisher's next release is an amazing set of features for importing map data directly from Web Mapping Services and Web Feature Services. This has to been seen to be truly appreciated.
So come see us in booth #1615 and be among the first to see these amazing new features and what we are up to in 2010.
Hope to see you there.
