I'm using ArcMap and I have two layers - one of a detailed coastline, and another of less detailed watershed data. In several places, the outlines of estuaries or inlets on the detailed coastline are not included in the watershed polygons - the watershed layer has only straight lines for the outer p0lygon boundaries in these estuaries and bays. I would like to cut these bays into the watersheds. I could go into each polygon where this is an issue and reshape the boundary to match the detailed coastline - but that would take a LONG time. There are lots and lots of these. Is there a way to batch reshape polygons to match an another data layer - to make the polygon boundaries of one layer match a line feature in another layer?

Thanks for any help.

Yes I think the tool you are looking for is Data management Tools>>Feature Class>>Integrate. You might have to play with the tollerance settings.
