Hi all,
After doing some work using gdal to create global hillshaded and tinted imagery for a client, I decided to write up the basic technique I used as a guide for those starting out with these opensource tools.
I realise there are some great resources already out there, but I couldn't find anything aimed at newbies.
Anyway, I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts about what would be useful to add/clarify etc. Feel free to comment on the blog or here.
Digital terrain mapping using gdal
Thanks !

Great post!
I never had the possibility to use gdal, but I sure will find a way to look into it now!
