I know that shapefiles can be added and displayed directly to ESRI's ArcExplorer, and shapefiles can be converted to kml files and displayed on Google Earth. Can shapefiles be added or displayed on Bing Maps? How?

I doubt Bing supports shapefile format. You should probably stick with KML or convert to GeoRSS.

Hi Don,
You can load Bing maps as a layer directly into ArcMap
As long as you're running ArcGIS 9.3.1 and have a current maintenance contract with ESRI (or subscribe)
See http://www.esri.com/.../bing-maps.html

Dave -
Thanks, I didn't know this. This will give me a way to check the registration of layers I create with Bing Maps, which is what I needed.
