Has anyone else had a problem getting properties (either layer properties or frame properties) to work in ArcMap 9.3? This problem started after I upgraded to Windows 7. I've installed the service pack and uninstalled/reinstalled the entire program, but the problem persists. When I click on properties for either a layer or the frame (or using the menu pull-downs), I get nothing. There is no way for me to change the properties, and ArcGis is now useless. Any help would be appreciated.

do you have any indication if something seems to open, but not on your current screen?

I don't think so. I've messed around with the size and orientation of the windows to see if maybe it's showing up off-screen or something, but to no avail. The first time I try to open properties the machine thinks for a second before showing me nothing, after that it pretty much instantaneously ignores me. I'm surprised no one else seems to be having this problem - it happened as soon as I upgraded to Windows 7.

You can always adjust properties in ArcCatalog
I would search the ESRI forums for this type of issue - way more users specific to this type of inquiry over there. I'm intrigued to know the solution.

hmm....recently I worked with ArcMap 9.3 and run into an interesting problem, similar to yours - editing properties would not show within File Geodatabases compiled by me (but would in sample ones). Had to start and terminate editing function few times, than it started working. I presume I amde some editing error or didn't do a step or few in Arc Catalog. Though I use XP.
