My name is Richard Tinnell. I am a GIS/Cartography grad student at Penn State earning my master degree in GIS. I have a BA in Communication Design and have been a senior graphic designer and publication layout specialist for 10 years. I am interested in career opportunities in cartography, GIS, or a related field. I would also be interested in paid long term internships. I look forward to the opportunity to work with skilled cartographers and GIS techs that I can learn from and develop my abilities under their guidance. I am a quick learner and pick up new software quickly. I am an expert in Adobe products and have 2 years educational experience with ArcMap 9.3.1, Quick Terrain Modeler, FurgoViewer, among others.
