I am new to ArcGis software (and GIS too). I would like to make a 3D map in arcgis using the 3D analyst extension from XYZ data.

I have tried to do this by using the '' feature Class Z to ASCII '' in 3d analyst tool--->and i got shp file but i don't know what to do with this now.

In arcCatalog i can see in the previre section a model of my map , but i can not import it to ArcGlobe yet.

Can anyone tell me what should i do next ??? ( or if i have done something wrong ???)

I havent use ArcGlobe in a while but you should be looking for an icon in ArcGlobe that is for Add Data. Your .shp file is a standard GIS file extension. After you add your data to ArcGlobe you will need to tell ArcGlobe what field to use to symbolize in the Z axis.
