I have almost finished my Bali Maps, using CS-3. I need some suggestion. I send a link to download all files, but I'am sorry about size of files (at least 140 MB). You can download at:

Is there any way you can provide smaller files? PDF or jpg or just some reasonably relevant close-ups of some parts? I don't think many people will be downloading a 140 Mb file to give some comments.

You will need to upload a PDF to the site, You links require passwords etc. If you want ppl to take the time to look at your maps and provide feedback, make it very easy for them/us.
Look forward to seeing your map.

P.S. See Derek's posts on the forum regarding exporting small file sizes. That will help.

You might want to tone down the colors a little.
There isn't enough contrast between the land and the water and there's too much contrast from one area of land to the next.
It's very busy.
There's a lot of conflict between your text and other text/objects.

If I need suqestion about text of river name.
There is so many river name. Can I remove some information of river name?

Hello Hermawan,

I would only label the major rivers and not worry about the minor rivers unless I had too. With that said, you are in for a big challenge. The colour scheme you've chosen is very strong. Also the placename labels are too cluttered and this will have a direct effect on you labeling the river. I would strongly recommend you change the scheme. This will, in turn, make labeling much easier and natural.

Could you use another symbol for the villas/resorts? For my taste they are way too colourful and clutter up your map. A smaller, less flashy symbol (with only one major colur not three) would gve you more room.

Also I would consider labelling them in black or grey. The red labels on green background with the brown roads will be impossible to read for anyone with a red-green-colour-impaired-vision (and there are a lot of guys with that problem!). Using a sans-serif font might again give you more room.

Your rivers run out into the sea. Is that your intention?

I see your point about the rivers. Wouldn't it suffice to label just the major rivers and leave the others unlabelled?

it is possible to connect mapub with any db management? so i can build back end application for updating data.

I second with Kathi and what other said before. Labeling colors (fuxia/purple/violet - however you call this colors) appear very bright. aNd additionally their in extremely high contrast.
