Related to the thread about social networks, is anyone here on Google Wave? PM me if you want/need an invite...

I haven't played much with Wave, so I can't tell if it is useful or not... But anyways, I started a CartoTalk wave, search for it and come in and say hi.

(don't know if it is possible to have a URL linking directly to a wave...)

Cheers,
Hugo

I have created a public wave for cartotalkers - just drop in there and say hi.

Are you sure that link will work? I have an account (but no clue what to use it for) and can't seem to access your wave.

I'm on Google Wave, but I can't say I've discovered it's value. I'm hoping that sooner or later it will change everything for me in the same way the IPad has. ;) It needs lots of users to be useful and right now most of my contacts aren't using it or have abandoned their accounts! It's a virtual ghost town!!

I have no idea if that link works or not, but you should be able to find the public wave I started by searching for "cartotalk with:public".

I have no idea if GW is useful or not, I am just starting to play with it. I can see a point with it for collaboration in a team, I am actually now working on projects where it would be useful.

I think this blog post was pretty good: http://corfield.org/...e__Disappointed
