Is there anything better than the census 2000 for highway and local roads? I tried the Alaska GIS clearinghouse, but they don't have address ranges, which I need.

Need it to be free of course.

The TIGER data files have been substantially updated and improved since the last census. Here is the latest data (2009):
http://www2.census.g.../national-files

You can download data at the national, state, and county level and I believe address ranges are included.

Oh I am sorry I meant to say 2009 census files. I have those. The thing is it seems like many areas are quite bad in Alaska when you compare them in google earth. Probably because its hard to do surveys out there.
