Santa brought me a copy of the late Michael Crichton's last book and on the inside the cover is a beautiful map of the Caribbean Sea. Further digging revealed a credit to none other than Nick Springer. Wow, a present inside a present!

I see now that Nick has posted it to his website, but the online image doesn't compare to the printed image, so I encourage everyone to check it out in their nearest bookstore.

Nick: congrats! Its lovely work. B)

Very cool! I looked at some of his other maps while I was there. (Had to laugh at the Great Britain map...) :)

I somehow missed this thread back in December... thanks for the kudos. It was a quite an honor to work on the Crichton map.

The map of Great Britain was for a book called "Fool: A Novel" by Christopher Moore and yes I think it is a bit of everything. The publisher asked if I would mind labeling France as such because that's what the author requested - who am I to censor art ;)
