Hey all,

My company collects high accuracy GPS data for a broad array of industries but mainly for the petroleum industry.
Since pipeline regualtions vary per Country and per Province in Canada, many companies are looking to standardize what data should be collected in the field. To that end we have become a member of the PODS organization and have gone through the hugely arduous task of developing the PODS database in house in SQL Server 2008. We have also started designing the APDM model in ESRI, which is much simpler design to implement.

I am wondering if anyone has experience with data transer from the field, .ssf file for example, directly into the PODS data model? We have developed rudimentary ways of doing this, but at this point there is too much manual data entry and manipulation.

Any help/advice would be appreciated. We have researched 3rd party software apps, but would like to keep it in house and develop our own practices.
