My father-in-law is looking for navigational charts of Canada from Quebec to the eastern shore of Newfoundland/Labrador. Can these be found anywhere online? He uses a program on his laptop that contains the chart information, but would have to 'Print to PDF' each segment of his journey in able to print and have in hard copies. He said his US Charts can be downloaded free online, but has not found the same to be true regarding Canadian charts. Would anyone here know if this is possible?
Thanks in advance for your time.

The Canadian Nautical Charts are produced by the Canadian Hydrographic Service, but they do not distribute the file themselves. Here is a list of their distributors:

You won't find free online ones I fear. I believe only the USA have this great public service, anywhere else in the world, you have to pay for these $$$$, because they'll sell you a port-folio of a big region even if you need only one of the maps. I think the UKHO sells the easter canada folio for 2000 pounds (not sure of the exchange rate).
It might be cheaper for your father-in-law to buy the paper nautical chart(s) of the area. He can find the paper charts resellers near his home here:

Good luck!
