Hi All

This is my first post on here, so I hope I am posting in the right place.

My organisation may have a small bit of MaPublisher/Illustrator work early in the New Year, just a couple of weeks producing thematic maps and some graphs. Trouble is I don't really know where to look for freelancers who might take this on. Is this a good place to start? Can anyone recommend anywhere else to look/advertise?

Many thanks in advance,
Kate

Lucky for you this is the perfect place to find cartographers. Just post contact information here & let the ball start rolling. ;)

Can anyone recommend anywhere else to look/advertise?

Elance, GetAFreelancer, Rent a Coder, & Odesk.

But keep in mind there are a lot of freelancers on those sites who bid cheaply & output sub quality results.

"There is much beauty that we fail to see through our own eyes teeming with life forms that give us that perception of our reality.  Leaves on the trees blowing gently in the wind, or scarily, the waves pounding through high surf, or lightly on a warm summer’s day; that opportunity to sit or swim in the water on a white beach.   That comfort to shout, “The universal conscious do you hear me?  I am alive, guide me dear logos towards the path of rightnesses.”  Earned what has been kept, no longer to be absorbed into a life filled with cold damn winds and  that stubborn fog clouding  my vision with nothing but darkness."

Kate,

I know there's plenty of freelance cartographers here who would be able to help you out, so please feel free to post a description of the project.

It has been a few days since the request is there any details that you can provide. Or at least provide a way to contact you.

Hasdrubal,
You can send members a private message. There's no reason for anyone to post their contact information on the board.

Thanks to all who have responded so far, I have had several PMs so thanks also for setting that up for me!

I will have some more details next month, at the moment I am seeking leads and it looks like I did find the right place. I will post again/respond to PMs in a week or so.

Thanks again,
Kate
