One more thing. What do you think of AICS2 graph and chart capablities? The ArcGIS graph wizard is a disaster and I am currently using excel to make pie charts and PS to match the colors.

It didn't take me long to evaluate that functionality, I use excel as well, and cut'n'paste it into illustrator for further manipulation.

There is (assuming beta tests go OK) a complete new graphing package in ArcGIS 9.2 - way better than the old one.
It has live linking from the graph to the map and vice versa, and lots of cool stuff.

Beware - most of links given previously those only apply to ArcGIS 8.x.

There is a new KnowledgeBase article (KB 29950) about how to control dicing in 9.x

"Polygons are divided in tiny strips when exported to EPS, PDF, SVG, or AI Illustrator"
ArcGIS - ArcEditor 9.0, 9.1 ArcGIS - ArcInfo 9.0, 9.1 ArcGIS - ArcView 9.0, 9.1 ... Created: November 29, 2005
When opened in an external editor like Adobe Illustrator, .EPS, .PDF, .SVG, or .AI export files display some large polygons divided into separate pieces...
