Veer now offers a collection of (overpriced) disks with images of antique maps, cartographic motifs and celestial charts............ personally I would just head over to David Rumsey's, but there may be something here of interest.......

Veer collections

I think this is one of my favorites. Aquatint of the surface of the moon:

Several days ago while I was wandering around Boulder, Colorado, I found a small shop selling overpriced antique map prints. I asked the owner if he had ever been to David Rumsey's website or even heard of him. He hadn't. I suggested (with a big smile) he might want to check it out. I then purchased an overpriced antique print of the Bahamas. I'm a sucker with a heart.

Actually, I wouldnt mind owning the Veer disks, but I doubt I would cough up the cash for them - then again...

If you really want to get your hands on a digitized collection of maps on disk you can also check out this website:

MapMaker Plus

They have an interesting and affordable collection of maps on disk and you can also order them bundled with their crazy font collection for under $100.
