Good-day to all,
After month's of learning off the great people here on CartoTalk, I have decided to join and hopefully offer my limited experience/knowledge when suitable.
I am wondering if somebody could provide guidance for matching histograms - contrast between two 10m SPOT panchromatic images?. I have tried in Photoshop with limited success, maybe require dedicated remote sensing software solution?
My hobby project is to produce a raster map which shows land cover data merged with a decent resolution satellite image. This is also draped over a shaded relief DEM. Problem is that the contrast values between the SPOT images does not match. So if I blend/overlay, for example, a dense conifer polygon (colourized) over the image the brightness varies from one image to the other.
Tools I have: Global Mapper, Geographic Imager, Photoshop.
