I am interested in obtaining a continous coverage of Canada Crown Lands. I've had a little bit of look when I look by province but am not finding something that is continuous for the whole country.

Does anyone have experience working with or searching for such a dataset?

thanks in advance,

Josh

I've never seen such a dataset (but would love to have it!). You're basically looking for the inverse of private lands in Canada, yes?

Yep, I am looking for the inverse of private lands, classified my managing agency. It is a pretty standard piece of base data and I imagine someone has merged provincial data across the country to produce such a dataset.

I'll let you know if I ever find it..

cheers,

Josh

My guess is that you are going to have to look at it province by province. I don't think the federal government tracks crown land unless it is Federal Crown Land.
