I am looking for a good dataset which displays all public lands in the US partitioned by management agency (i.e. USFS vs BLM vs BIA). There is a federal lands layer included in the ESRI 9 data package but its too coarse for the scale I am working at (i.e. Wyoming, Montana and Idaho).
Does anyone have suggestions for a good source for these data?
thanks in advance,
Josh

I would look for fed data at the state level from the states you are interested in. The states you mentioned are savvy concerning publicly available GIS data.
Another source is the national atlas: http://www.nationala...pters=#chpbound. they have a fed lands shapefile layer available, but i am not sure it will have the detail you are looking for.

Yep, each one of those states is pretty savy with data-distribution. That's the route I ultimatley took, piecing things together from a few sources. Geocommunicator.gov has the data as well but I am not able to connect and export yesterday and today. Thanks!
