Hello all,
I have been following the posts on CartoTalk, on and off, for a few years. I am feeling like a stalker so I should come out of the shadows and identify myself.
I have been into maps as long as I can remember, always collecting the NG maps that came in my parents subscription and covering my bedroom walls with them. I studied Geography at university then did a post degree program in GIS with a speciality in Cartography, with which I used as a cartographer in Victoria BC for 5.5yrs. The cost of housing drove my family away from Victoria and unfortunately the world of cartography. I am beginning to get the shakes of withdrawals and feel the need to get back to mapping - I am hoping that this will be the first step towards getting back on the horse.
Cheers and I look forward to reading your posts,
Kevin

Welcome Kevin,
As a fellow former cartographer experiencing withdrawal symptoms, I can assure you of the value of CartoTalk to ease you through those long dark times.
