sorry frax, you're right - i should have included a link about the shapefiles...

I'm mostly interested in the neighbourhood data. I'd love to use it for my volunteer mapping work... and also to see how it compares to the Toronto Star's neighbourhood map. And (maybe eventually) see if I couldn't make something similar for my city!

Sounds extremely cool, and interesting/useful - I would love to have a look at that... Maybe one can transform it to kml reasonably easily and then work with it from there.

I've been meaning to play with this dataset, but haven't had the time to do so yet (and probably won't have for the next 2-3 weeks either). It looks quite interesting indeed.
