Mysterious Island by Jules Verne comes to mind, but the shape is all wrong. Or maybe The Island of Doctor Moreau? But even if I'm on the right track, which I may not be, where is it in the real world... hmmm...

It's the island of Montecristo. The novel you refer to is "The Count of Montecristo" by Alexander Dumas.

It is also a fried ham and cheese sandwich. Ha.

That's right and you're next.

The Count of Montecristo was one of my favourite books when I was around 15 years old. I'm rereading the book right now and I'm still impressed by it. The Tuscan Island Montecristo is situated south of Elba and east of Corsica. It's a nature reserve and it can only be visited under strict conditions. http://en.wikipedia....iki/Montecristo

This area is famous for its bird-life.

Zoomed out a bit...

In 2012, there was a 100 meter landslide, which carried 2 tourists, falling 40 meters to the beach below...

The man broke his legs and the woman injured her spine, but was able to walk to find the rangers!

I think you are too warm, the tourists were injured in a landslide in Iceland! It looks like the location is the Dyrhólaey, at the southern tip of Iceland.

You sir, are correct! Good one. You're up.

Apparently a Flemish stunt pilot (Tomme Tailor) is said to have flown through the arch at Dyrhólaey...whoa!

Ok. Here's a new location to look, also usually colder rather than warmer.

Okay, Dennis. I need to remember to think of you when I come up with my GTLs. We think too much alike! You are next.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

I don't remember if we've ever done this famous bit of railway track:

One more judiciously cropped image before I zoom out and give it away:
