So what do have here? Hmmm... Looks like some kind of campus, and it is in a developing country...

Africa, and an international institution. This campus is unique in one way.

United Nations office in Nairobi, Kenya?

Correct Dave! It is the Gigiri campus, which is the headquarters of the United Nations Environment Programme, the only headquarters for a major UN progamme in a developing country. Also hosts UN-Habitat and a few other things.

OK, here's one for the mountain cartographers - name the mountain:

Art lovers might have seen many views of this mountain; possibly as many as 100.

That is correct, Anton! Depicted in 100 Views of Mt. Fuji, by the wonderful artist, Hokusai. One of the most well-known pictures is probably his wave with a small Mt. Fuji in the background.

Your turn. :) Where shall we go next?

Another volcano. This one looks harmless now but it hasn't always been this quiet.

That's the Laacher See volcano in Germany's Eifel Region. According to Wikipedia this is the largest lake in Rheinland Pfalz.

You're right Kathi! The Laachersee is a caldera that was formed around 12900 years ago in a huge eruption (comparable to Mt. Pinatubo in 1991). Ashes were spread over a large part of Europe (from Sweden to Northern Italy).

You're next.

Sorry for the delay... Here's another place with a violent past. The oval structure is a fountain that doubles as a swimming pool.
