You got the location Dennis! And you did hit the crop in your list. This is an almond farm, all those trees are almond trees. It is hard to believe that Stockton CA is only 4 meters above sea level. They will need some dikes soon...

You are up next!

Enough with the cropland.  This city has a long, rich history—and it's the only port where that rather large flag would be flown.

The city has been expanded into a modern port over the last few decades.  It fronts a water feature with the same name as the city.

Perhaps you'll recognize it from this supposed panoramic view in 1917:

D'oh! That's Aqaba, Jordan (so obvious now!). I was looking in the right part of the world, but missed that because the orientation of the map didn't seem like it fit that particular area (until you zoom in far enough!).

Yes!  I watched Lawrence of Arabia on TV the other night.  You're up . . .

Great movie

OK, this is a location that has appeared in numerous movies and tv shows, especially westerns.

Captain Kirk once fought an alien called a Gorn here, using makeshift weapons.

I love that Star Trek episode! I knew this had to be Southern California. It looks like it is Vasquez Rocks Natural Area near Agua Dulce, CA.

You are correct, Alex. Mythbusters did a show where they tried to recreate that scene with the makeshift gun.

Your go! :)

Sorry for the delay folks. Too busy at work!

There are many temples here, and for centuries hermits have lived in caves in the rock.

Another view and another clue. Taoist pilgrims have to climb a lot of steps and ladders to reach the temples here!

It is Mount Hua in China: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Hua

According to Google Earth, that temple is named Maoxianmiao, but I can't find a web/wikipedia page describing it!
