Just a short intro.
I'm a historical architect in Texas that is evolving more and more into economic development work in the small towns and cities of West Texas. GIS has been mentioned many times over the years by these towns, but they do not have the resources except those offered by their regional council of governments.
As luck would have it, I am also the president of a Off Highway Vehicle group (Texas Motorized Trails Coalition) and I use GIS some there to produce maps for our parks showing trails and the various facilities.
That interest lead me to search for forums on the web and I stumbles in here.
I look forward to learning a lot ... if I gain 100% in knoledge it will still only scratch the surface on what I probably need to know.
