I played with it for a bit in a early beta release (two months back or so) and wasn't terribly impressed. I would be interested to know if it has improved. If anyone gives it a shot, let us know!

I also gave it a go. I like the idea of GIS for the mac because I always have to work in parallels. Unfortunately, at this moment the cartographica GIS is not really something I could use that much as it lacks a bit. I do however think it is a nice idea and if there was a good GIS program for the mac I would certainly consider using it.

Tried the beta when it was first announced, but wasn't terribly impressed either. Right now it doesn't offer enough in terms of functionality to compete with the GIS-products I use primarily (Global Mapper and Manifold). I do think it would be a good idea to have a number of GIS apps running natively on Mac, be it open source or commercial.
