This is just a quick note to remind everyone that the British Cartographic Society (BCS) Awards are on now and accepting entries in a number of categories including the Avenza Award, for Electronic Mapping.
This award is open to any mapping available in electronic format, whether it is interactive internet mapping, internal company use GIS mapping or maybe a Powerpoint presentation. The award comprises a trophy and a certificate and is being run by The British Cartographic Society with the support of Avenza.

The closing date for submissions is this Saturday, February 28th 2009 so please hurry to get your entry in this week.
The BCS can receive an electronic submission of the entry form and data or an image of product by the closing date and the actual hard copy/CD within 10 days of the closing date so don't worry if you cannot get the final materials in by the end of this week.

Hey that's really neat.
by the way, are you guys ever going to judge the results for the 2007 Avenza Map Awards, and if not, are you going to refund the entrance fees and hard copy maps that were sent to you?
