Here's a map that I made for a feature Time Out New York did this week on my work as a cartographer. I'll try to attach the article as well as the map.

Included in the article but not the attached map are these featured locations:

The Center of Gravity [between 5th and 6th, and 39th and 40th]
The nexus of all Starbuck's in Manhattan happens to be just south of Bryant Park.

World Martial Arts Center [69 W. 14th Street]
Don't mess with the mapmaker. Levy trains in the martial art of Hapkido here.

The Magician [118 Rivington St.]
You might have heard his band, the Stumblebum Brass Band, rock the hallowed halls with high-energy jazz.

New Beef King [89 Bayard Street].
Not For Tourists is based out of Chinatown and this is the place for Chinese-style beef jerky. "Kinda sweet and wet," advises Levy.
