First post here. I work for a ad agency that specializes in real estate in the DC area. I'm a tech illustrator and am in charge of drawings floor plans, site plans, tier plans, and maps. I am here because my question relates to maps. We have a wonderful library here of custom map icons for points of interest (little icons for things like shopping malls, libraries, state buildings, supermarkets, state parks, golf courses, etc.). I have been asked to look into 3D-style map icons. We use Adobe Illustrator to draw our maps, so I'm looking for eps files. So, is there anywhere out on the internet that maybe sells pre-drawn, eps map icons?

There are tons of free icon sets out there if you look around a bit.
Especially with the 64 bit operating systems, the icon sets are becoming really nice.

You may have to browse around a little to find what you are looking for, but here is a good list of sources for 64 bit "3d" symbol sets;

hopefully that puts you on the right track!

Great link Greg. Those icon sets are HOT!

I found one so compelling I changed my avatar!
