Hi there,
Does anyone has any experiences with copy/ past in Illustrator CS3 while checked "Paste remember layers" ?
I'm asking cose in CS2 which we're using there is a strange behavior. I mean if the file I want to copy to new document is well structured (all layers have sublayers) then copying and pasting it to new document makes all the objects ends in the major layer and file lose it's layered structure.
(example I have layer RIVERS in which there are sublayers MAJOR RIVERS, MINOR RIVERS while copying to new document I get all object from MAJOR and MINOR merged into RIVERS).
This answer could accelerate our decision to migrating to CS3.
regards,
Gregory

Yes, if 'paste remembers layers' is checked, the layer structure is retained if you paste into another document.
