Hi there,
Does anyone have any idea on whether it is possible to link a point shape file to a webpage? So, for example, if I click on a buoy at sea it will show me the current data from that buoy (from a website which already has this info).
Perhaps this will require some programming? This is no problem (maybe later I want to write a program to extract this info...but first things first)
Also, ESRI tips are welcome but ideally I would like to do this in Manifold.
Thanks again everyone for your great help on this site!!!

I don't really know Manifold, but in ESRI, it's quite easy.
You can add your links in a field and in the display tab of the layer properties, you can select that field as an hyperlink.
Then, to activate the hyperlinks, click on the "lightning" on the Tools toolbar.
