Seems cool, but by the time my daughter (now 16 months) gets ready for these things, then the globes will be much fancier, right?

This one is supposedly internet updateable, but it seems like downloads are not free. I first thought that the actual globe/map was updateable - but from examining the description more, it is just facts and trivia.

This looks pretty cool. Has anyone used it?

I think in the not-too-distant future we'll virtual globes on spherical screens that are auto-updated based on whatever globe service you want (current news, educational atlas, weather, etc.). I want one now. :D
