Nailed that answer...as probably every single participant on this site is the very best map maker at ____________. It just depends upon the type of map design or end goal/output that one is discussing at any given time.

Raven maps are excellent. My firm is too - but in a different map niche. For street maps (indexed street map posters), there are a good many map firms - but I'm not going to make any plugs other than Raven since you mentioned them 1st.

If you really, really love the person you should contact any map maker on this list and have them make a "custom map."
You could take the path of least resistance and purchase something beautiful and sensibly-priced from RavenMaps, or you could open your pocketbook and hire a cartographic craftsperson to create a unique one-of-a-kind gift.
The world needs more unique maps.
