Thread closed. B) Nailed that answer...as probably every single participant on this site is the very best map maker at ____________. It just depends upon the type of map design or end goal/output that one is discussing at any given time.

Raven maps are excellent. My firm is too - but in a different map niche. For street maps (indexed street map posters), there are a good many map firms - but I'm not going to make any plugs other than Raven since you mentioned them 1st. :D

If you really, really love the person you should contact any map maker on this list and have them make a "custom map."

You could take the path of least resistance and purchase something beautiful and sensibly-priced from RavenMaps, or you could open your pocketbook and hire a cartographic craftsperson to create a unique one-of-a-kind gift.

The world needs more unique maps.

:( OOoops... I should've asked this question another way....

Such as "What do you think of Ravin maps?" or something like that.

Thanks anyways.
