Hello,

Here is a map I made for fun inspired by a re-read of 1984. I don't have a real purpose or audience for the piece, someday there may be a use for it, but for now, its existence is for kicks.

As always, critiques and comments are encouraged!

Thanks.

I love "maps for kicks". You can just look at them and appreciate the art :)

1984 have been on my To Read List for a while... I may be what it takes to just make me get onto it! ;)

I like it. Suitably ominous. Although it's not immediately clear to me what/where the disputed areas are.

Awesomeness. You can share it with other fans of the book / author. Great map design.

I am working on a map inspired by Cormack McCarthy's 'Blood Meridian' - an antique style map of the southwest terrain and story's events and routes - Hope to have it completed before the movie is released - even have a url (www.bloodmeridianmap.com) selected. If any one else is a fan of this book and wants to collaborate - please PM me.

Neat piece!

because of the gradient, the legend is not quite clear on which color represents which area...
