Can a symbol be converted to a "real world" feature?

I have come ot the conclusion that what they want will likly not happen the way they want it to. I have spent the past few days trying everything I (and others) could think of to resolve this problem, without any true results. I am now waiting for what is now needed.
As for the tiff and tfw, both are generated as both are needed in the long run.

Hi Robyn,

if you send me a shapefile or an ascii file with the point locations and the projection specification I can write a Python script that draws points with any radius at the specified locations on a tif file. You could use that script if the need arises again. I am a programmer, and if something can be programmed, I can do it :D
