Hi!
I'm trying to find maps - preferably shape files - with paleoclimate data - ranging from approximately 10.000 BC up to a few hundred years ago. The aim is to overlay this data with maps on language change, and see what we can find.
If anyone has any suggestions where I could find such things, please let me know!
All the best,
Susanne Vejdemo

Susanne, I don't have any leads, but if you find anything - please share your findings!

I do not have a direct link for you but I would think that someone at the USGS would have the data layers you are looking for. I would recommend a web search by USGS and paleoclimates. Once you find an applicable USGS document, you should be able to contact that person directly.
Hope this helps.
