Hmm... took me a bit to understand all of those bubbles! I wonder what projection the map is using, if any. The US is distorted in a way I've never seen before.

yeah, it looks like a Plate carree they have just stretched along the Y axis....

It bothers be a bit that the outlines depicting previous election party-switching are scaled-up along with the symbol-size.
