Hi folks!

Someone in our department has Geomedia mdb, but we have no Intergraph or FME licenses at the moment.
Is there a free conversion tool to something more generic?
The problem, of course, is the BLOB that encodes the coordinates.

Thanks in advance!

I am not familiar with this exact format. Is this basically a Microsoft Access geodatabase? Manifold Systems is not free, but is close to it ($250). It can open Access geodatabases (and a plethora of other formats). It's a good program to have in your GIS arsenal simply for conversion purposes.

Well, it is totally a MS Access db file. But the Coordinates are coded in a proprietary Binary Large Object = BLOB.
And Geomedia┬┤s BLOBS are diferrent from ESRIS etc.

I converted mdb with BLOB for the USGS NHD data to shapefile format. I would be willing as a consultant to try the Geomedia format. Contact graveldraw-at-hotmail-dot-com
